I currently run beginners spoon carving courses throughout the year, which when available will be listed on my products page. I also run more informal one-to-one tuition on a wider range of greenwood working skills such as using pole lathes, making rustic furniture and making shave horses. If you are interested in learning about any particular greenwood / woodland crafts please get in contact.
I provide talks that look into and promote discussion surrounding traditional woodland crafts and woodland management. So please, if you are interested please don’t hesitate to get in touch! I really enjoy this type of interaction, and people normally leave having had some fun and having learnt something new.
For several years now I have been going to events, shows and giving pop-up demonstrations with a pole lathe or a chopping block demonstrating turning or carving. The rhythmic thrum of a working pole lathe or the acoustic delight of an axe working can really add an archaic energy and atmosphere to a place. If this is what is missing from an event you are organising send me an email and I will try and fit you in to my diary!
